Friends of the Boundary Waters x Hippy Feet

The future of the wilderness depends on you.

Preserving Wilderness for Future Generations.

$1 for our Friends up North

With every purchase of our Friends of the Boundary Waters Merino Wool Hiking socks, Hippy Feet will donate $1 in support of conservation efforts across the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota.

The Friends of the Boundary Waters is on a mission to protect the Boundary Waters and to connect people of all backgrounds to the wilderness, so that this and future generations benefit from this special place. Their broader vision is to create a permanently protected Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and Quetico ecosystem, where all people can experience the magic of the wilderness, and support its protection.

In the last 50 years, The Friends of the Boundary Waters has been on the frontline fight against copper-sulfide mines. They've helped pass legislation to keep our air and water clean and to limit coal emissions, and actively play a role in monitoring invasive species and forest lands across the BWCA. Additionally, The Friends of the Boundary Waters leads a "No Boundaries to the Boundary Waters" program that connects underserved & BIPOC youth to the great outdoors. Through this program, 6th-12th grade students are able to go on a fully sponsored trip up north for a week to study nature and to receive an education on how to preserve the wilderness for the next generation. Hippy Feet is proud to sponsor this program by donating merino wool hiking socks to each student to participate in the program.

    My Friend's Place

On any given night in LA County, nearly 70,000 people experience homelessness. Roughly 5,000 of these people are under the age of 24.

At the beginning of 2022, we announced a commitment to donating 50% of our profits to organizations that are working to help homeless youth. Our goal was to empower the experts — providing resources to the people who best knew how to serve their own communities.
